Why Nigeria?

Why Nigeria?
Nigeria is the most populous African country and the ninth most populous in the world. Its population density ranks fourth worldwide and translates to a tremendous relative need burden. If only by the sheer number of people that stands to be affected by potential policy interventions, we feel it would be almost irresponsible for any proponent of global health to ignore this country. There are many things that make Nigeria a challenging, frustrating, if unsavory, place to enagage. We believe that taking on these challenges can be instructive for future projects here and in other similar settings.
